The Lucina Birth Centre is a non-profit space that is dedicated to providing everyone with exceptional care. Since the practice first opened its doors, they have been able to assist with over 1,800 births. Unlike many other birth centers, this is solely a practice for your delivery. With it, you will be responsible for finding your own midwife, and you can choose to work with the Lucina Midwives at their separate practice if you’d like. This approach gives you the freedom to find the birth team that matches your style perfectly. This practice is inclusive and will work with families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures. 

Services

Lucina Birth Centre has two suites that you can use for your delivery. The rooms are both modern and spacious. You’re going to ditch all the noise and stress of a hospital in favor of a quiet space where you will have control over the environment. In each of the rooms, you will have access to a large birthing pool that you can use at any point in your labor. They have additional tools, including birth stools, birthing balls, peanuts, birth slings, and donut balls. They have TENS units and laughing gas as natural forms of pain relief.  You will have total control of the environment, including the level of the dimmable lights and the music on the Bluetooth speaker.  Following your baby’s birth, you will have time to bond, and then you will be released to recover from the comfort of your own home.

Even if you don’t choose to have your birth at Lucina Birth Centre, it’s still one you will want to keep in mind! This center is so passionate about helping people have their dream birth experience that they will make sure you have the tools you need, no matter where you plan on delivering. You can rent birth stools, peanut balls, inflatable donuts, and even a TENS machine for your hospital or home birth.
